IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 完整應答策略｜雅思考7+必學圖表報告寫作技巧

很多準備英國碩士、學士申請的同學，都會把備考重心放在IELTS Writing Task 2，卻忽略Task 1其實是最容易搶分、也最容易無意間失分的一題。 IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 並不是議論文（essay），而是數據/圖表報告（report），核心目標是客觀描述視覺資料，不能加入個人想法、推測原因。

IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 is a data report, not an essay. Your job is to objectively summarise visual information, without personal opinions or speculative explanations.

考試規則：

• 建議時間：20分鐘
• 字數下限：150字，建議目標170–190字
• 題型：折線圖line graph、長條圖bar chart、圓餅圖pie chart、表格table、地圖map、流程圖process diagram
• 佔分：寫作整體成績的三分之一

Time allocation: 20 minutes. Minimum word count: 150 words; recommended target: 170–190 words. Question types include line graphs, bar charts, pie charts, tables, maps and process diagrams. Task 1 accounts for one-third of your total writing score.

雅思考官會依照四大評分標準評分：

1. Task Achievement 任務完成度：是否找出主要特徵、趨勢與比較，最重要關鍵就是要有清晰的Overview（總覽）
2. Coherence & Cohesion 連貫與銜接：段落邏輯、連接詞使用、資訊分組
3. Lexical Resource 詞彙資源：詞彙準確度、變化、避免重複
4. Grammatical Range and Accuracy 文法豐度與準確度：簡句、複句混合，減少錯誤

Examiners mark Task 1 based on four criteria: Task Achievement, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range and Accuracy.

✅ 黃金文章架構（7分以上標準結構）

第一段：Introduction 開頭段（改寫題目 + Overview總覽）

很多考生會把Overview獨立成一段，或是放在文章最後，最保險的做法：把Overview直接放在開頭段後半部。

• 前半句：Paraphrase改寫題目描述，不要直接抄原文
• 後半句：Overview，描述圖表整體大趨勢、最大特徵，完全不能放細節數字、百分比。只講宏觀觀察。

Introduction: paraphrase the question statement, then add your overview. The overview captures the big picture, with no specific numbers or statistics.

❌ 錯誤：寫一大堆細部數據當作Overview ✅ 正確：最高/最低、上升/下降、兩者差距、整體變化趨勢

第二段、第三段：Body Paragraphs 內文段

內文不需要把圖表每一個數字全部寫出來！ 挑選重點數據、高峰、低谷、交叉點，依時間或類別分組敘述，並做比較。用數字、百分比來支撐前面Overview提出的大趨勢。

Body paragraphs: select key data, peaks, troughs and comparisons. You do NOT need to describe every single figure in the chart. Use selected numbers to support your overview.

結論Conclusion：非必要！

Task 1報告沒有強制要寫Conclusion。只有時間充裕、需要補足字數時才寫；如果寫結論，只能重新詮釋Overview，絕對不能新增資訊、個人看法、推測成因。

A conclusion is optional for Task 1. If you include one, only rephrase your overview. No new information, reasons or opinions are allowed.

✅ 寫作五步驟應答流程（考場直接套用）

1. 審題規劃（2–3分鐘） 先確認單位、時間軸、類別數，避免把幣別、年代看錯，這類非語言錯誤會直接拉低Task Achievement分數。

   Pre-writing analysis: check units, time periods and categories carefully. Avoid careless errors such as misreading currency or dates.

2. 改寫題目，撰寫開頭句 替換同義詞、調整句型，不要逐字替換造成生硬英文。

   Paraphrase the prompt naturally, avoid forced word-for-word substitution.

3. 抓出Overview總覽 先把所有細節數字遮掉，只看圖表最明顯的整體趨勢。

   Identify the overview by ignoring minor details and focusing on the most obvious patterns.

4. 撰寫內文，分組比較數據 由最重要到次要特點排序，善用比較句型。

   Organise body content from major features to minor ones, and use comparative language.

5. 最後檢查（2分鐘） 優先檢查：數據是否寫錯 → 文法單複數、時態 → 拼字 → 段落分段。已經做好規劃的考生不需要大改全文。

   Final check priority: data accuracy, grammar, spelling and paragraphing. Major rewriting is unnecessary.

❌ 最常見失分地雷（一定要避開）

1. 不要自行推測因果關係：圖表只呈現現象，不能寫「因為XX所以數字上升」，沒有資料支持的解釋會扣Task Achievement分數。

   Do NOT invent causal links. Do not explain why trends happen; only describe what you see.

2. 不要加入個人觀點：IELTS Task1是客觀報告，不能出現自己的評論。

   No personal opinions or justifications.

3. 遺漏Overview：沒有總覽，任務完成度上限會被鎖住，很難上7分。

   Missing the overview is one of the biggest score limiters.

4. 逐個羅列全部數字：變成清單，沒有比較、沒有重點。考官想看你篩選資訊的能力，不是抄寫圖表。

   Listing every number is a common mistake. Examiners reward thoughtful selection of data.

5. 系統性持續拼寫錯誤：同樣單詞一直拼錯，會拉低Lexical Resource詞彙分數。

   Consistent repeated spelling errors will reduce your lexical resource band.

   重點口訣｜No reasons, no explanations, no justifications, only the information that you see.
   不寫理由、不做解釋、不辯解，只描述圖表上看到的資訊。
